HATS, HATS, HATS!

Tuesdays 10 am - 12 pm,
July 6 & 20

Hats make excellent gifts, are quick to knit, and are perfect for the advanced beginner knitter looking for a new challenge. In this class you’ll learn how to knit in the round using both circular and double pointed needles. The hat pattern is flexible, allowing you to choose from a variety of yarns, design options, and sizes. Warning, hats are addicting – once you make one it’s hard to stop!

Level: Advanced beginner. Cost: $50, plus supplies.

Learn to knit a top-down sock on two circular needles.

Level: Intermediate. Must be able to cast on, knit, purl, understand basic knitting techniques.
Cost: $65, includes yarn and pattern.

THURSDAY July 22, 9:30 - 11:30 am

Besides being a great party trick, knitting backwards is a useful tool for Fair Isle and entrelac, and is great for knitters having trouble with balanced tension.

Level: beginner/intermediate. Participants should know how to cast on, make knit and purl.
Cost: $25, plus supplies.

WEDNESDAY July 28, 7 - 9 pm

Are you afraid of your knitting? Afraid you'll make a mistake you cannot fix? Fear no more! In this class we'll make mistakes, and fix them. Then we'll make more mistakes and fix those. By the end of the class you'll be able to confidently fix a variety of knitting mishaps.

Level: beginner. Cost: $25, plus supplies.

WEDNESDAY July 14, 7 - 9 pm

Ruffles are fun and crocheted ruffles are fun and easy. If you know basic crochet stitches, come learn how to use them to make this great ruffled scarf that can be made in any yarn.

Level: Beginner Cost: $25, plus supplies.

WEDNESDAYS August 11 & 18, 7 - 9 pm

New and continuing crocheters welcome! This class is for you if you want to learn to crochet or renew rusty skills. Emphasis will be on gaining familiarity and comfort with the tools, while creating a simple project.

Level: beginner. Cost: $60, plus supplies.

WEDNESDAYS August 25 & Sept. 8, 7 - 9 pm

If you know basic crochet stitches, you can make a hat. We will crochet a simple beanie-style hat from the top down. You can try it on as you go, to get the fit you want. Once you know the basics, you can add fancy stitches, or fancy yarn, to get a variety of hats.

Level: beginner. Cost: $50, plus supplies.

Devote an evening to knitting with fellow knitters.
