PROJECT CLASS with Sydney

Turn your knitting frustration into a fun evening! Sydney will help you work through any challenges to finish your project successfully. Participants attend any 6 classes out of the 8 scheduled.

KNIT CLUB FOR KIDS with Sara

This drop-in Knit Club is designed for kids aged 8 – 12 of all levels and abilities. Beginners will learn how to cast on and knit a garter stitch scarf. Ready to go beyond the basics? Come to class with your ideas and Sara will help you find the perfect pattern next project.

CUSTOM FIT SWEATER: KNIT IT NOW with Sara

Are you ready to knit your best sweater yet? Sara will guide you from start to finish of your CustomFit sweater, including taking your measurements, evaluating your swatch, helping you choose a flattering style, creating the pattern and troubleshooting your questions. Once you’ve knit a CustomFit sweater, you won’t want to stop!

DESIGN AND WEAVE YOUR OWN PROJECT with Laura

This class covers the basics of planning, design, warping and weaving a sampler or project of your choice. Information covered is appropriate for both rigid heddle and 4-8 harness looms. Students will also have a chance to try the shop 8-harness floor loom. Please bring your already assembled rigid heddle or table loom, tools and ideas to the first class.

Once you’ve learned the basics of knit and purl, a few more techniques under your belt will open up a wide range of patterns to you, including simple mitts, cowls and hats. Moving beyond a simple scarf is easier than you think!

Worked in a worsted-weight gauge, it will knit up so much faster than you think. Please purchase and print pattern prior to first meeting (available through Ravelry.) Required skills: chart reading (cables and lace); working multiple charts at once. Recommended skills: provisional cast-on.

Be the boss of your loops! If you’ve been intimidated by crochet patterns, now is the time to embrace the hook and expand your repertoire of skills. From trendy and embellished crocheted hats to feminine edgings on knits, crochet is both fun and liberating. We’ll learn basic stitches and get started on one or more simple projects.

Bring your crochet project in progress or start a new one! Anything goes–just bring your questions, patterns, hooks and yarn and Stephanie will help you finish your project successfully. Note: this is not a Learn to Crochet class, beginner experience is required.
We do our best to help you any time you come with project challenges–if you need more focused attention, or want to be sure someone will be available to help, the Drop-in sessions are for you! We’ve recently added more sessions, and limited participants to 4 people to be sure you get the attention you need.
