What is a "mash-up" or "recipe?" Amy Herzog's CustomFit software creates a great-fitting sweater, and mash-ups or recipes are a way to incorporate more design elements into her basic silhouettes. Sara will guide you through the process of choosing a pattern, evaluating your swatch, and troubleshooting questions during your knitting.

$95, plus supplies.

SUNDAY, 10 am - 12 noon |
June 4

Different types of knitting projects need different types of edges--some edges need to be stretchy, some extra-sturdy and others decorative. Various edges are achieved by working different cast-ons and bind-offs. In this class, you'll learn 10 essential casting-on and binding-off techniques step-by-step, and also learn when to use each one.

Cast-on techniques include: long-tail, cable cast-on, backwards loop, I-cord and provisional cast-on; bind-offs are standard, K2tog bind-off, picot, I-cord and three-needle bind off.

Level: Beginner; must know cast on/off, knit and purl stitches
$35, plus supplies.
